Learn frameworks, prioritization, and data-informed decision-making. Use AI for scenario modeling and data synthesis, and produce a strategic case write-up. DEC domain: Engage.

Session 4

Leading Teams & Coaching Others

Build skills in coaching, delegation, and psychological safety. Use AI as a coaching assistant with bias awareness, and design a coaching plan for one direct report. DEC domain: Engage.

Strengths first, then growth

Session 1 starts with a personalized strengths inventory and identity work, because the fastest leadership growth comes from doubling down on what you do well, not from chasing every weakness. The cohort then maps strengths to the AI-augmented work ahead.

Building strengths vs. fixing weaknesses. A core 2025 curriculum theme.

Frequently asked

Answers to the questions we hear most.

Are there any pre-requisites to apply?
There are no specific pre-requisites. We're looking for applicants who can show they're on a leadership path and have some professional work experience.
Is this a statewide program?
Yes. Arizona residents anywhere in the state are eligible. All sessions are held in person in the Phoenix metro area, except the December 10 orientation which is held virtually via Zoom. If you live outside the metro and have questions about attendance, email jessica@careerconnectors.org.
What if I don't have fundraising experience?
Don't worry. A workshop and a fundraising toolkit are part of the program, and your cohort and Career Connectors staff are there to help. All donors receive a 100% Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.
Will sessions be in person or virtual?
The Dec 10, 2026 cohort orientation is held virtually via Zoom. All six monthly sessions (January–June 2027) are in person at Achieve in Tempe. In-person sessions are not recorded.
Does the curriculum address the challenges women face in leadership?
Yes. The program is created by women who have entered and navigated leadership roles in male-dominated fields, and the curriculum reflects that lived experience.
What is the history of the program?
Inspired LeadHER (previously She Leads!) was started by Catherine Alonzo of Javelina as a program under Arizona Women's Education & Employment (AWEE). After A New Leaf absorbed AWEE in 2017, the program continued and was eventually brought to Arizona Foundation for Women in 2019. In 2025, Career Connectors became the program's permanent home because of its focus on professional development; the name changed to Inspired LeadHER due to national trademark requirements.
